♟️ Chess At Your School

Chess At Your School; it isn’t likely that you’re here to learn why chess is such a valuable learning tool. Rather, it’s a fair assumption that you’re here instead to find out if we are a good fit. Let’s get to it.

We offer a range of flexible chess programs designed to fit seamlessly into the school day and beyond, including:

  • After-School Chess Programs
  • Lunchtime Enrichment Sessions
  • In-School Curriculum Classes
  • Off-Site Learning Groups
  • Tournament Team Preparation & Organization

How to start a Chess Program At Your School if You’re a Parent

If your child’s school doesn’t currently offer a chess program, getting one started typically a straightforward process. A brief phone call or email is all it takes to set things in motion. Step 2 is to put Phil in touch with either the principal or after-school coordinator, and that’s pretty much it.

Chess Rabbits isn’t a franchise, it’s a craft. Led by Phil Rosenberg, a longtime NYC chess educator, the program blends skill, wit, and strategy to make chess feel alive. We teach kids to think, not memorize. We slow things down so they can speed up later—building focus, patience, and confidence move by move. From after-school programs to tournament prep, Chess Rabbits creates a space where learning feels real, not packaged. It’s chess taught with intention, not hype. We’re here to grow strong thinkers, quick tacticians, and kids who know how to win with grace—and lose like champions.
